Current Project – Educator Two
About Educator 2
The Street Rod Foundation would like to introduce our current build in the Educator Series program called Educator Two, which is a 1932 Ford 5 window coupe. We started building Educator Two in 2012 while make major changes were taking place in our foundation. The past two years, we have been steadily working on Educator Two as well as planning new programs to enhance our current educational programs.
We have created many new programs that will open new opportunities for different age groups to participate in our automotive programs. The new changes have already started, but some will be worked in as we move forward. They are not just for students, but also for our sponsors and contributors alike.
Thank You to Our Sponsors
The rendering for Educator Two has been designed and provided by Christopher Dowdey. The 32 frame rails are from American Stamping, the body has been provided by Bebop’s Glass Works, and our awesome Ford 302 motor was provided by TNT Engineering. March Performance, Inc. provided the Serpentine System, Sanderson Headers made us some great looking Zoomie headers, and Tuff Stuff Performance helped us with the alternator and air compressor. We built our own frame jig that can be used to build 1932 and 1933 frames.
After many hours of sanding, the jig was painted with KBS Coatings paint, which is great quality and we would definitely use it again. Chassis Engineering, Inc. was one of our first contributors to come on board when we started our foundation with the Educator One project, and they are still here supporting us today with their rear four link, motor mounts, steering brackets, front crossmember, brake pedal, and X member. The complete chromed front suspension with disk brakes was provide by Lucky 7 Enterprises, Inc., and Unisteer provided the steering system and they have been with us from the start. B&M Racing Performance has provided our Four Speed AOD Trans, Hole Shot 2400, Unimatic Shifter, and flexplate. The complete 9 ‘’ rear end features 31 spline axles, 370 gears with posi track, along with Wilwood 11’’ disc brakes and parking brakes were provide by our good friends at John’s 9”, and they have also have been with us from the beginning. PRC Performance has provided their awesome products, including aluminum radiator, air condenser, radiator fans, transmission cooler, and lines.
American Autowire has been with us from the start as well, providing their friendship and their great parts like the Highway 22 panel wiring kit in Educator Two, tools and other components. Autometer Gauges also are long friends of ours, and we are installing their Antique Ivory 5 piece set in Educator two. Tanks has provided our fuel tank and fuel pump. Educator Two will be sporting a set of Fuel Chrome wheels provide by Rocket Racing Wheels. Yog’s has been with us for a long time, with both Educator One and our current build – it would take a lot to list all they have helped us with. A big thanks to all of our sponsors!
As the build of Educator Two moves forward, we will add more pictures of how its progressing and the products our sponsor have provided.
